Merge Field - Fractions (Word 2002)

When I try to merge data from Excel to a word merge field, it is expressed as a decimal instead of the fraction originally in excel. Does anybody know the switch for a fraction, I know *DollarText give me fractions of 100 in words and numbers, but I am looking for a simple fraction like 1/3 etc. Help anybody. Thanks in advance.

I don't know if the switch you are looking for exists but an interim solution would be to copy and paste the data from Excel into a Word document which will bring the fractions across. Then do the mail merge linked to the new word document rather than the original Excel spreadsheet.

Thanks Andrew for taking the trouble to reply. I will try what you suggest as it's the best (and only) idea yet. This worked fine with my old Windows 95 by the way.
For the record I am keeping tabs on our golf society handicaps which are kept in 1/3rds.
