    Outlook versus Outlook Express (XP)

Having just bought Office XP Professional, I wondered whether I should change over to Outlook Express. I've been quite happy with Outlook Express until now. I'm primarily interested in the email function. Can anyone tell me the significant advantages/disadvantages of MS Outlook compared to Outlook Express? Will my existing Address Book entries and other settings be preserved?

    Very grateful for any pointers.

Do you need calendaring and other PIM features? If not stick with OE.

OE uses the windows address book, outlook uses contacts, so you'll need to import. Most mail settings should import ok, but rules may need to be recreated and outlook doesn't have the same rules option.
