Paste text from Cell (Excel 2000)

    We are attempting to copy and paste text from a fixed cell location into the "active" cell. The macro we have tried to this point successfully copies to the clipboard but it will not complete the portion of the macro which pastes to the active cell. Does anyone have a suggestion or idea?
    Thanks, Mark

    It would be helpful to post the code.

    ActiveCell.Value = Worksheets("SheetName").Range("RangeName_or_CellAd dress").Value

    works in simple situations.

    Re: Paste text from Cell (Excel 2000)

    If the text you must "paste" is hard-coded (i.e, never changes), the following approach will work:

ActiveCell.Value = "Whatever it needs to be"
