    'New Message' on the task bar (Win98/MSO2K)

    Getting lazy....has anyone ever thought to place a New Message Icon on the task bar to avoid having to always go into outlook to compose a message...Can this be done?

    If you have the MS Office tool bar running, there is a New Message icon,is this what you want?

    Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Not that I'm aware of. However you can create an entry in the Send to so that when you right click on any icon on the task bar it brings up the mail form. The only extra step is to delete the icon attachment. See Woody's (WOPR.com) Vol 4 Iss 10 for the steps to create the Send to entry HTH

    create a shortcut on your quick launch or start menu with the path to outlook and use the ipm switch:
    "C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice10OUTLOOK.EXE" /c ipm.note
