I found a book that gives a great introduction to VB.NET for VB programmers. It's "Code Notes for VB.NET", 2001, edited by Gregory Brill, published by Random House.

It has lots of explanation, plus some code samples. It's a bargain at $19.95! It's given me a nice understanding of the general .NET framework and philosophy, as well as details on how VB.NET has changed from VB.
