Does anyone have a membership or reunion database? (Access97)

    Hi-

I have volunteered (don't ask me why, but I did) to create an Access
97 membership and reunion database for my high school alumni
    association (Steinmetz H.S. in Chicago).

I was wondering if anyone has one that I can use as a basis and
modify where we need it? I would be so greatful and so would the
    Alumni Association.

    Thanks

    Hi Debra Quintana in Chicago

I think you were advised on another fourm to look at Access 97 db wizard for a example to start with.

Yes, I did try that, but felt that I am too rusty to start my own, so I wanted some samples to work with. I did find some excellent samples on a Access/VB website. Because they are "freeware" and not demos or "shareware" I will be able to add the fields I need but keep the basic design intact.

Thank you to everyone who helped me...on all the boards I posted on!

**Edited by Rory to make links live**

    Hi All,

As a matter of fact I have found several sites that have sample code, freeware and shareware available to Access and VB programmers <img src=/S/bravo.gif border=0 alt=bravo width=16 height=30>

I found these sites on the Yahoo and the Internet....hope they are useful....

There are some very good code examples to be found at:
    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ms_access/files/
    The Yahoo MS_ACCESS user group

    Another good Yahoo group is:
    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MS_Access_Professionals
They also have some sample files to help you out.

Another good site I found was:
    http://worldwidemart.com/mattw/softw...ows3.X/access/

    http://www.winsite.com/bin/Search?q=MS+Acc...p;submit=Search
    or
    http://www.winsite.com/win95/access/index.html

will list out a bunch of freeware and shareware programs written in MS Access
The name of the site is http://www.winsite.com

    MEMBERSHIPS
http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?500000008525 (Gives you the info about the membership database)

    http://dl.winsite.com/bin/downl?win3/acces...37|500000008525
(This is the link to download the member.zip file)

ADDRESS BOOKS (GOOD START FOR MEMBERSHIP/REUNIONS)
    http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?500000024488 (a large pgm, shareware)

    REUNIONS
http://www.winsite.com/bin/Info?3639 (Gives you info about the reunion database)
    http://dl.winsite.com/cgi-bin/dload/937/wi...ess/reunion.zip

ENJOY and I hope you find something useful. But always remember to send a "thank you" to the author if you utilize their code. It is the right thing to do and it makes them feel a little better to know that they have helped others.
