    Changing UserName (Office97 SR-1)

We have changed comptrollers and I need to change registered UserName foe Excel and other office components.
Is there a way to change the UserName?

I have located where UserName is defined in the Registry but the data is in Hexadecimal.

    Re: Changing UserName (Office97 SR-1)

In the past (try searching this board for the sad news), it was said that for Office97, the only way to change the user and company information is to uninstall and reinstall Office. Anyone have any new news?

For Office 97, the only way is to uninstall, then re-install.

The information is not in the REgistry.
THe entry you found is for something else.

AFAIK, Sysprep is for migrating Windows and has no effect on Office settings.
