Is 'From' Broken? (XP SP1)

We're running Outlook XP SP1 at work (and my Boss & I each have it home). My boss has 4 accounts set up (himself, his Wife, and his 2 kids), and he finds that although he is the 'Default' Account (sending 90% of E-mails), when he sends mail, a *LOT* of them are being sent through his daughter's account???? Even if selects himself from the 'FROM' Options Dropdown (which, I presume, he shouldn't have to do, as he's the Default account), the 'From' settings change AFTER the E-mail has moved to the Outbox! He is confused, and I am amazed. Has anyone heard of this 'bug'?

    Replies are *greatly* appreciated.

what type of account is the default one and what types are the others, especially the daughter's account that seems to take over?

i've seen it before with fax in the profile... the second account seems ot take over sending. exchange account offline also has problems with this.

They're all POP3 accounts. Does that make a difference?

    Thanks for your reply.
