    Insert Autotext in a Table (W2000 SR1a)

I usually insert Autotext by starting to type the text and when Word displays the pop-up showing that it has identified the autotext I use <TAB> to insert it.

When I try to do this in a table, the <TAB> simply steps to the next cell
I tried using Control-Tab, but this just inserted a Tab in the table cell.
The only method I could find was to use Tools=>Autotext, find the entry and click insert.

I have to do this quite often, due to the layout of the documents I am working on, can anyone come up with a way to get Word to let me do it with a simple key combination?

Perhaps it is old-fashioned of me, a former WordPerfect user, but I always press F3 to expand AutoText codes.

You could also try Ctrl Tab (which inserts the Tab character in a table). F3 is great for expanding Autotext, but it is handy to know you can prevent Tab to next cell in a table by using Ctrl Tab.
