    AutoFormat Options (Word 97 SR2b)

We would like to standardize the use of some of the AutoFormat As You Type features, but I can't find where they're stored. Specifically, the features to control are Quotes, Ordinals, Fractions.

    Thank you!

I get to them using Tools|AutoCorrect... and then clicking the appropriate tab in that dialog.

Or did you mean how to access them with VBA or VBScript or something else??

    Julie,

I'm not sure if they are available for Office 97, but for Office 2000 and later, you can use "Policy" templates which provide administrators with a tool to control a huge number of user environment settings.

An alternative is to use VBA code in an AutoExec procedure in a global template which is stored in the startup directory - this can be used to change the settings to whatever you want, each time the user starts Word.

Thanks Gary! I'll look into the policy templates, but I can easily setup the AutoExec - we already have a few global templates.

    Thanks again!
