    open all folders

    I like this. It's from http://www.NeatNetTricks.com

    04. QUICK FOLDER OPEN. Repeating another oldie but goodie, open all folders on your hard drive with one simple command. Launch Windows Explorer, select the drive icon, and press the asterisk key (*) on the numeric keypad. Every folder on the drive will open.

It works even better if you have a floppy in drive A and a CD in drive M (or whatever).

Don't try this one at work, though, especially not on a LAN!

Well, Granville, he drawled laconically, I guess that will depend on how well you've been educating them. They do know about the lounge, don't they?

P.S. If I'd called it The Lounge Zone, would your typo have contracted to "lozenge"? I ask because I just made a batch of Orange jelly-jubes.

P.P.S. It was late at night. I was trying (unsuccessfully) to parody that "Don't try this at home, kids!", message.

Not to worry. My Canadian Oxford describes "longe" as a variation of "lunge". Maybe we need a new lounge status - that of "lunger", someone who run circles around the others, as if they were a horse held on a rope

Perfect for surfing the Lounge, looking for answers when you're "Greave-ing" about some computer problem you have, too.... <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15>

Sorry, Chris, I just couldn't help myself!

Ha! The joke's on you. There is a GREAVES family, unrelated makers of fine jams, at Niagara-on-the-lake (the conservative side of the border).

BTW, PWCMCIA should join the D.A.M.

    Ah, thanks!

I won't be trying this at home as I've never liked anything with peel in, just never found it appealing.

    > What are Orange Jelly-jubes, please?

I make jams. I have excess orange/lemon/grapefruit peel. I blend some clean peel in water, drain off the water, add an equal amount of sugar and let sit 48 hours; drain the syrup (over ice-cream!) and then add the peel to a concentrated jelly-powder/water mixture. Set in a flat tray, freeze and then cut to 1cm squares, roll and store in icing sugar in the feezer to continue the dessication process. I do the same with pureed ginger root and lime jelly. Makes super candies.
