    You access the BIOS at the beginning of the PC's boot sequence. It's not accessible from inside the OS, with very few exceptions. Usually it's the DEL key that enters, sometimes others - watch the screen after you reboot or power on the PC.

    You can also use "BiosWizard". This is a free downloadable program. I can't remember exactly where to download it from. I suggest trying "www.bioswizard.com" or doing a search on the internet. Upon launching the program you can have it scan your system and tell you all you will want to know about your BIOS, without having to close Win XP.

    Found the BIOS Wizard at this URL: http://www.mrbios.com/bioswiz/

    Looks like they are priming you to order a replacement BIOS chip with this utility.....something you likely don't need. But it may do the trick without a credit card! <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>
