Compile error in query expression (2002)

I've had a Members database working perfectly well for years, and for several months in Access 2002. However, over the past week I have noticed numerous "Compile error in query expression" popping up for functions that used to work before but now display a #Name error. I can't seem to find any errors in the expressions, such as:
    IIf([Nxtrenew]<Date(),[Nxtrenew]-Date(),"0")
-- this is to show how many days someone is overdue.
    Can anyone enlighten me please?
    Much appreciated.
    Cheers
    Ron

Open a Module in design view.
    Select the menu Tools, References.
In this window look for a reference with the word MISSING
Uncheck it and see if the problem is gone.

    Hi Francois

I had already tried your suggestion from your previous advice to an earlier post by another Lounger.

There seems to be about a hundred references listed with only the first 5 checked.
However, there is no word "MISSING" with any of the checked or unchecked references.

    Cheers

There seems to be a sort of corruption in your db.
    Try to compact and repair.
If this don't work, create a new empty database and import all the objects form the old one.
    Sometimes this resolves corruption problems.

You can als try to decompile the database. This has solved some weird problems for me.

Make a backup copy of your database first!

To decompile: enter the following command in Start/Run

    Just as a final comment

If you're using Access at work and you get this - it's usually 'cos your IT guys and gals did a sloppy job installing (And then ghosting I bet) your build.

You'll know 'cos you're also down on help files compared to everybody else.

Just a point for all you IT people to consider? Remember to check a few functions BEFORE you take that installation disk away
