copt table between 2 external db (Access 2000)

Is it possible to copy a table, say, table1 from the database db1, into another database called db2,while working in a third dataabse?
I am using now the Trasnferdtabase method: at first i import the table from the database db1, then export it to the table db2 and then i delete the table
in my database waiting for another session. Can i simplify my operations just by copying between a source db and a destination db?

You might be able to do it by opening another instance of Access, which in turn opened one of the other databases, and then do the transfer database? Not that I've tried it, though.

Why do you need 3 databases if all you're doing is importing from one and then exporting to another? Why not do the export directly from the first database?
