    Create Autorun.inf

I want to give a client a CD with the web site I've created and I want it to autorun. I've tried but I must be getting the syntax wrong.
    What I've done is:
    [Autorun]
    open=iexplore.exe trial-home.htm

Which should open the page 'trial-home.htm' in Internet Explorer but it doesn't.
Can anyone give me the correct script, please. It's embarrassing.

I can't give you the correct script but you could try Autorun.inf Maker
<hr>"Autorun.inf Maker is a freeware utility designed to assist in the creation of Autorun.inf files.

Autorun.inf files allow the cd's you create to automatically launch an
application when the cd is inserted in the cd player. Simply place
the file you create with Autorun.inf maker in the root directory of your cd. "<hr>

Interesting find, Leif....I was prepared to suggest Karen Kenworthy's AUTORUN.INF editor as an alternative. I've used it and had wonderful experience with it.

Additionally, the problem with launching a web page or HTM file is that it is dependent upon the application used on the host machine to open these types of files. I don't think Internet Explorer's command line functionality extends to CD autorun, but I've never tried it either.

Interesting? Simply the first one Google threw up that looked like it would do the job <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>.

Of course, it may still depend on whether or not Autorun has been disabled:

Try this program from Typhoon Software. It's free to try and $19.95 to buy. Version 2.4 is the latest.

    AutoRun
Create professional CD products and presentations.
AutoRun takes any file you specify--GIF, JPEG, HTML, PDF, MP3--and loads the file into its registered program. If your end user does not have a viewer for your file, AutoRun can install the viewer for you.
You can maximize the window you open, send parameters for up to 10 target files, and add sound effects to your splash screen. All this is done through an intuitive and easy-to-use interface.
The Assistant guides you through each step and helps you get the most of all of AutoRun's features and switches. The Assistant generates your INF file and copies everything to your working folders. The Assistant features a help system that gives you access to detailed explanations of everything that AutoRun offers as well as the ability to test your auto-run functionality without having to burn a CD.
The full version gives you access to all the switches, removes nag screens from AutoRun and the AutoRun Assistant, and AutoRun automatically closes itself after launch.
