What is the filename of the control you're trying to use/register? It should be something like xxxx.ocx if it's an ActiveX/OLE control. Where did you get it? Are you picking the control from the toolbox list?

    Re: Registering Controls (access97)

I just got a new computer w/WindowsXP. The database I am using has a report with the logo in an unbound object frame. When the report prints, the logo is not there. There is MSinfoOLE Registration Control listed in the registered box in windows 98. I thought I had to just register it in XP. That is where I am lost.

Is the logo a graphic file? If so, how is it being displayed? That is, is it set in the design view of the form? Is the graphic on your machine?

I have no idea what that control is or where it comes from, but graphics in 97 should display on a WinXP box without you're doing anything special. You might want to check the Windows boards, though. Some versions of WXP have had a few problems with all sorts of things.

I solved the problem by opening the logo file in paint, saving it, and changed the control on the report to an image control. It works good.

    Thanks
