    Symbol (XP)

    Hi

My daughter was doing her homework the other night which involved a table with numbers representing the temperature.

She was after the symbol which represents temperature degrees, I think it's a small o which is raised slightly higher then the actual number.

Is there a symbol which represents this, we were unable to find one anywhere.

    Thanks in advance
    Dax

In Word, select Insert/Symbol. Select (standard text) in the font dropdown list and Basic Latin. The degree symbol should be in the fourth row, near the end. In my version of Word/Windows/keyboard settings, the shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+2 followed by a space.

You can also look it up in the Character Map accessory, select and copy it there and paste it into Word.
