Missing Tools > Options pick (Word 2000)

I am missing the Options pick from the Tools menu in Word 2000. I have tried reinstalling office; however, it still does not appear.

Does anyone know how to get this option back?

Re: Missing Tools > Options pick (Word 2000)

From the Tools menu, select "Customize". (Or right-click on your menu or in the toolbar area and select "Customize" from the context sensitive menu.)

Go to the "Commands" dialog box. On the list on the left ("Categories"), select "Tools". On the list on the right ("Commands"), scroll down to the "Options..." item. Click and drag the "Options..." item to the bottom of your "Tools" menu.

    That should do it!

Try Hubert's suggestion first. If that doesn't help, you might have a look at this item on the WordFAQ site. It has some useful tips for restoring menus etc.
