    Passwords

I need to password protect several computers, most of which are running Win 98. How can I make the computer require a password, and not just let the user hit escape to get around the password? We have had some unauthorized users on the computers, and I want to lock them out.

Keeping in mind that 98 is inherently insecure, you'll need to set a system policy. On the Windows 98 CD, there should be a tool called POLEDIT.EXE that you can install from Add/Remove Programs (hunt for it using 'other Windows components'). You can deny access to the desktop without a password.

Your alternative is to look for some third-party tool to do the job for you.
