Im trying to select the letter "L" on a query but the fiel has the letter "l" too. How can I select just the letter "L" in upper case only?

If your field contains more than one character use in the criteria :
Asc(Left([YourField],1))="76"
If your field contains only one character, use
Asc([YourField])="76"

I'd use the InStr function in my selection criteria, something like this:
InStr(1, yourfieldname, "L", 0) > 0
