Pop Up Message Boxes? (Access 97)

A quick problem I could do with some advice on.

I need some way of producing a message box that is created in Access via VB that will be visible (And needs to be responded to) over all over applications. (This will be in a NT environment)

A sort of super pop up.

I've looked a MsgBox - Dosn't appear to do it (SystemModal is rubbish!! Is that just me?)

    Any thoughts? Please?

Where I'm coming from is a user will be using Access but the application is minimised to a small screen area - then when I want it want a HUGE message box appears that overides all the other windows and applications people have open.

    Thanks

You can't do it from Access per se, and system modal is rubbish in VB too. What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?

Re: Pop Up Message Boxes? (Access 97)

The goal is to create a message that will impossible to miss.

This is for a busy aplication environment - many users will have many different applications running in addition to this database. In response to an event in the database (Which may be monitoring another application) I need a message to appear that is visible above all other active applications. The idea being it's impossible to miss if the message is triggered and they have another application active (Kindda like "You've got mail")

For example - A new initiative is added to a catalogue database. I need a message that tells all users to have a look at it. This message needs to appear above all the other applications they might be running so they can alt tab into the database and take a look. (This isn't exactly it but I hope it illustrates)

Thanks for trying to help me!

Trust me, there is NO message impossible for a user to miss! <img src=/S/nope.gif border=0 alt=nope width=15 height=15> If your database is minimized to the taskbar, any messagebox you pop up will *also* appear on the taskbar. How about sending them an email instead?
