Page N of N (Win 2000, Word 2000) (9.0.2720)

I am having the problem where Word is printing out Page n of n instead of Page n of m. Here are the details. I have created a document and tried a bunch of tests to see what happens:

- Standard print using File, Print or Icon - prints n of n
- Print Preview then print with icon - prints n of n
- Print Preview, Zoom - prints n of m
- Standard print on another printer - prints n of n
- Print on someone else's machine - prints correctly

I have tried clicking the Tools, Option, Print, Update Fields box and this does not help. The page numbering in Print Layout View shows the numbers correctly as does Print Preview. I am baffled as to the cause of this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Going to SP1 took care of this strange problem.
