Does an LCD monitor work in Safe Mode?
A friend of mine has got a new Samsung LCD monitor (probably an SM151b) which works very nicely (landscape and portrait) in Windows ME, but when he goes to Safe Mode or boots from a floppy he gets absolutely nothing on the screen (he tried both Landscape and Portrait mode.
Has anyone any idea how to get the monitor to work in Safe Mode or from a floppy? Put a video driver into CONFIG.SYS? The only ones I can see on SamsungElectonics' webstite are for various flavours of Windows. The best he would get (I presume) would be VGA 640 x 480...
Sadly we don't have any LCD monitors of any type to test this on...<font face="Script MT Bold"><font color=blue><big><big>John</big></big></font color=blue></font face=script>
