Updating existing Contacts to new form design (2000 SP1)

I have designed a new form for Contact entries. How do I update all existing contact entries to the new designed form? I have about 2,100 contact entries to update

This is a little too complex to go into here, but it can be done. The different options are listed in article Q201087 which you can run a search for at http://support.microsoft.com

Thanks for this. I accessed the Knowledge base and followed the process, which at the time seemed to do something, but the actual layout of the forms is still the same for all of the existing contacts.
The other thing that happened with this program (that the knowledge base recommends) is that the mail groups that I had set up were lost. The name of them still appeared but all of the contacts attached were no longer there.

Any other ideas how to copy the new form design to existing contacts?

Did you use the utility or write some code? When you display the message class column does the new form name show?

With the Knowledge base document (which I have left at work unfortunately, it refered to a vba script that indiviually wnet through each entry and changed the Message class.

The message class (which was what the template was saved to) was converted, but the actual design of the contact page didnt change.

I hope this answers your question.

    Regards,

    Brian

I had a similar problem where the code (macro) seemed to run but didn't change everything. I found that if I ran it twice it did the rest and all the changes were made.
