    DocumentProperties (2002)

    Either it's too late and I should go to bed or Publisher is a dog.

    Right from the Help:
    With ActiveDocument.CustomDocumentProperties
    .Add Name:="CustomNumber", _
    LinkToContent:=False, _
    Type:=msoPropertyTypeNumber, _
    Value:=1000
    .Add Name:="CustomString", _
    LinkToContent:=False, _
    Type:=msoPropertyTypeString, _
    Value:="This is a custom property."
    .Add Name:="CustomDate", _
    LinkToContent:=False, _
    Type:=msoPropertyTypeDate, _
    Value:=Date
    End With

    Right from the VBE compiler:
    "Compiler Error" -- "Method or Data member not found."

    Does Publisher only pretend to support "document" properties or am I lossing it?

    Kevin,

    thh Help is for all the components of Office, but Publisher does not seem to be fully fledged member of that group, and is without BuiltinDocumentProperties.

    If you look in the Object Browser, but confine it to the Publisher Library, you will see there are no Custom or Builtin DocumentProperties.

    Re: DocumentProperties (2002)

    But open a Publisher document, click File>Properties and there they are: built-in document properties and custom document properties!! Just not accessible from VBA. Go figure... Someday maybe Microsoft will adopt all its step children.
