    NT4.0 Explorer Default Settings

I dislike using "My Computer" <img src=/S/mad.gif border=0 alt=mad width=15 height=15> because of all the windows that are opened and the huge icons. I like small icons and details always enabled, so I prefer using Explorer. My WinNT 4.0 Explorer opens the tree to C:WinntProfilesmyprofile as a default. Is there any way to change it to DataMy Docs? Is it possible to create two different shortcuts on the All Users Desktop to open Explorer to DataMydocs and C:Winnt?

I've been looking in the Registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentV ersionExplorer
    to no avail.

Thanks you and have a great day!

You need to make a specific shortcut to the driive you want to browse.
Check Command-Line Switches for Windows Explorer (Q130510)
which should give you a head start. I'm afraid Im at home and don't have any ready made examples at hand...

Thank you for the link. I searched the MS KB, but was unable to find. Maybe because I was convinced it was a Registry issue.

To make a shortcut to mydocs use: explorer.exe /e, DataMy Documents

It's the /e switch which I was looking for to open things in explorere, not the /n swich which open it in MyComputer view.

    Cheers
