    MS SQL/SERVER - Unix (Latest)

Does anyone know if MS SQL/Server can be installed and run on a Unix box?

    Thanks,

As far as I can tell, the answer is no. Early versions of SQL Server would run on a Novell box, but if SQL Server 2000 still does that, they aren't talking about it publicly. In addition, features such as Integrated Security using the NT login process would no longer function. I suspect that the Sybase Database Server products will run on various versions of Unix and Linux. Another product that almost certainly would in MySQL.
