    What exactly are you trying to do here? Are you trying to change the SQL of the querydef on the fly? If so, why are you using ADO when DAO does it quite simply?

    All I can say is that I tried it on my machine with A2k SR-1a, not using an If-End If at all and got an error trying to set the command property of the view to a command object.

    That's a very good idea. There's no point in having two threads covering the same ground. And thanks for posting the link.
