    SUBTOTAL inaccurate (Excel 2000 SR1)

Is the SUBTOTAL function supposed to be able to cope with decimals?
I can't see why it shouldn't, yet when I use Data, Subtotals to put automatic totals against a column of decimal numbers, I get an answer like 46 instead of the "true" answer (37.59).

Ensure that you are using the correct function. You may be counting rather than summing.

    Just spotted it thanks, Andrew.

I found a sheet where it worked that was doing a subtotal(9,...) and the one where it wasn't was doing a subtotal(3,...). Not sure whether it was finger trouble or not, but thanks for prompt reply.
