Windows Media Player vs. RealOnePlayer (Windows XP Pro)

Was just wondering which audio player (Windows Media Player or Real One Player) is better in general and more reliable for playback of music, creating playlists and burning music CDs to play back on computers, in the car, or on CD players.

I do NOT like Real Player do to all of the SPY ware that comes with it. It takes over your machuine and needs to go to the internet on start of the machine. I stay away from anything that has RAL attached to it. <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

The newer versions of Real Player do allow you to configure all the things that used to irritate me as well. With this in view, it can be made as uninstruive as the old Windows Media Player 6.4 - with options like recording attached. In any event, there are sites which support Real Player only and others which support WMP only. HTH
