    missing dll file (xp)

I installed office xp and have found that no matter how I install it I get the same problem on trying to open outlook. All the other programs associated with Office work. I get a message when I try to open outlook of "MAPI was unable to load the information service emslis.dll" Any ideas on how to remedy this.

did you ever have an early outlook beta installed? that file is associated with a new information store called 'lis' that was buggy in beta 2 and removed.

a reformat to get rid of the beta files is the recommended method of fixing it, but it might work if you uninstall office, delete all references to office from the registry and delete your outlook profile then reinstall.
