Disk Cleanup

We upgraded to Win 2000 from 98. Since then when I go to run Disk Cleanup - it just hangs there. A couple of the systems eventually complete and show what there is to cleanup. The rest just sit there looking at the c: Any suggestions? I know I can go around it and search for *.tmp files and clean up the internet files, but it would be nice to have this working correctly.

It might help if you turn off every other running app. Do this before a defrag or a scandisk too.

Lynn, are you sure that it's hanging? Part of the cleanup is an annoyingly slow analisys of the space save by compressing old files - this can take quite some time if the processor is a tad slow or the hard drive is large. Or, just because you're waiting on it.

Yes, I am sure...I have let the systems sit there for hours.
