Netscape 6 for Linux
I downloaded this release yesterday, but haven't installed. I've read a number of criticisms of the windows version, and before I install the Linux version, I wanted to see if anyone had any experience with this release.
Specifically, are the problems crash related or just annoyances? (Presumably crash issues will be different from OS to OS, while annoyances will be cross platform.)
How big is the NS6 footprint as compared to 4.7? with regard to RAM resources? Hard drive space?
The whole point of Gecko was to rebuild the engine rather than continuing to enhance the old one. This was supposed to make it faster and more efficient as well as more standards compliant. Did that happen?
Hope someone has some answers.
