    outlook.pst problem (Outlook 2000)

Copying outlook.pst between my main machine and my notebook doesn't transfer appointments in
the calendar and new addresses in the contacts list. Both machines have Outlook 2000 and XP Pro with the same user name. Why might this be? How do I fix it?

they are stored in the pst, so they should. Contacts may need to be enabled as an address book (right click on the folder, choose properties, then address book tab)

Not sure why appt wouldn't be seen - maybe filters? The other cause would be if you have 2 psts for some reason and they are in a different one.

Thanks Mary but the Contacts folders are enabled as address books, no filters are set and I've checked that there is only the one copy of outlook.pst on my machine.

This has always worked for me. Is there an issue with Exchange Server and synchronisation (of the main machine prior to transfer) perhaps lurking in the background? HTH
