    Eliminating > (6.0)

Client is asking if there is any way to avoid seeing the > in front of every line of text it receives. Only thing I know to do is take to work and run macro to remove them. Any suggestions?

These are made when some one forwards a message. This option can be turned OFF, but that will only work for the ones you forward. These are part of the received message and one needs to edit the message to remove them.

AFAIK, there is no way to avoid them when someone replies or forwards mail to you. It's controlled by the sender. There is an OE utility that might help a bit, OE-QuoteFix. Otherwise, there is no easy way to remove them with a macro - you'd need to copy the message to word.

"Tools, Options" select the 'Send' tab and then the "Plain Text settings" in the mail section and clear the check mark in the lower area of the pane. You can also make this change to the "News" area also.
