    Default Value (Access 2000)

I want a check box on a form to be checked by default. I have tried setting the Default Value property of the control to =True and =Yes and just plain True and Yes. None of this gives me a check by default. I have also tried setting the Default Value property of the field in the table, and this doesn't work either.
    Where did I go wrong?

If, in the form, you set the Default Value of the check box to =True, the checkbox will be checked for new records. It does not change the value of records that were previously entered in the table.

Add a new record - is it checked for the new record?
