Gee, I forgot my password....or Outlook did (2002/XP)

I recently had to install Off XP on a replacement PC at the office. Although I am pleased to say that the re-activation process was painless (albeit unnecessary - don't tell Legare), I encountered a problem - annoyance - whatever you want to call it upon starting Outlook in its new home.

Details: the same PST file is used. The same email accounts were configured. Everything else was left stock - no copying of settings files, etc - so this is a plain vanilla install of Office XP Standard.

Outlook, upon each fresh execution, wants to know the password for each and every POP account. I give it up, Outlook remembers (until it's shut down) and mail goes on. However, deleting the email accounts and re-creating them didn't encourage Outlook to save passwords. It sill prompts for them when doing a send/receive.

Any ideas on where I can poke and prod so that I don't need to play this foolish game with Outlook? Everything else runs beautifully - no OS problems, no weird things going on anywhere but here (knocking on wood). I've run the repair tool - no dice. Just once I would love for it to work the way it should!!

Wham, bam, thank you MJ! Might be helpful if I took the time to scour the KB before complaining hey?

Problem solved, one more annoyance down. Thanks!
