Sound Object and AutoShape (Powerpoint 2000)

Hi Everyone,

I have a ppt and on one slide have a sound object that run for 40 seconds. At the 20 second mark I would
like an arrow(standard drawing object) to drop down and point to something on the slide.

What setting do I need to change to make the arrow drop down at this point.

At the moment - I have setup the "Custom Animation" and the arrow appear after the whole recording(sound object) has played.

Thanks Kindly,

Kerrie

Kerrie, change the custom animation for the arrow to start automatically, 20 sec after the previous event: select the arrow and use the Slide Show | Custom Animation | Order & Timing tab to set this up. HTH --Sam

Hi SammyB,

Thanks for the info, it works
Is it possible that the autoshape object drops down whilst the sound object is playing.
If I set the custom animation, as mentioned, the autoshape appears after the sound recording has
finished playing.

Thanks Kindly,

Well, you are asking hard questions of a guy without a sound card in his machine. <img src=/S/shrug.gif border=0 alt=shrug width=39 height=15>

However, I think if you will select the sound clip, then use the Slide Show | Custom Animation | Multimedia settings tab, and check the "while playing continue slide show" and "the stop playing after one slide", then you will be happy.

Here's the overall picture:
Animation order -- media first, autoshape second
Both start animation automatically -- media in 0 secs, autoshape in 20 secs
Multimedia settings for media -- play using animation order, while playing continue slide show, stop playing after current slide

Hope this helps! --Sam
