    Documentation Management Systems...


    we have a Mixed Mode NT4/2000 Network on the Server Side.
    And All Windows flavours on the client side from Win98 upwards.

    We are trying to develop a cohesive Document Management System to serve all clients in all domains.

    Pls. can you recommend us a package or system to help us.

    I am just starting a feasibility study for installing document management system. Gartner group does a comparison on them. From an initial review, the definition of what a document management system is pretty loose. Parameters include if you are managing paper or electronic documents, types of indexing, number of indexes, if OCR is to be used, etc.

    Before giving recommendation, You need to know source of documents, formats that need to be supported, volume, fonts used if OCR is used, etc.

    I have not found a one size fits all for document management.
