PPT Viewer (2000)

To test running a presentation with the viewer, a friend took the Viewer exe file and her presentation to a computer that did not have PowerPoint. When she tried to open the viewer file, she got a message that ms097v.dll could not be found. What is this file and why is it needed? It isn't on her machine nor mine, either.
Thanks.

I found that file under C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOfficeXlatorsMSO97V.DLL, although I have PP2000, not the viewer.

Was the viewer installed using MS' installer? Might be best to do it again from the latest version up at MS: PowerPoint Viewer 97 for PowerPoint 97, 2000, and 2002 Users

Thanks - I'll pass it on.
