    Outline numbering (2000)

I'm hoping someone can help me to get my outline numbering to start at "1.00" for Heading 1.
    eg.
    1.00 Chapter One
    1.01
    1.02
    2.00 Chapter Two
    2.01
    etc............

I can format the ".00" into the number and it shows in the heading and the TOC but I can't get it picked up as the chapter number in the footer & TOC. Level 2 & 3 are working fine, it's just level 1 that's causing me grief.
I obviously need to get ".00" into the field code but I can't find any way to do this.
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! <img src=/S/aussie.gif border=0 alt=aussie width=21 height=22>

    Re: Outline numbering (2000)

I just tried doing this and I can't see how you forced the level 2 headings to have the format
    1.01 1.02 etc instead of 1.1 1.2

The only way that I could do this was to insert a 0 character between the calculated fields. Once I had done this then inserting a Styleref seemed to work correctly. Is the attached document a correct example of what you are trying to do?

The .01 .02 part can be achieved through the numbering styles. Here's your document back with the change to the 2nd-level outline numbering style changed. This allows the number to update correctly once you get past .09 - it becomes .10 but yours would have become .010 ...
