Can anyone recommend any good books covering MSDE. I spotted a very specific one in a local bookstore a few weeks ago, but foolishly didn't note the details at the time and it has since vanished!

There are at least two that I know of, but have never used:
MSDE Bible by David C. Walls and Denise M. Gosnell (based on AccessXP, SQL 2000)
MSDE Developers Guide Book by Dan Rahmel (based on Access 2000, SQL 7)
I would suspect that much of these books is a rehash of SQL Server books, though hopefully there would be some tips about how to survive without all the SQL Server tools. Hope this helps.Wendell

Don't forget that Vol 2 of the Access 2000 Developer's Handbook goes into MSDE extensively.
