    Sluggish Mouse (IE 6)

    Hi

I have IE 6 and for a while now I've been noticing that when a new window is opening or when I click on a link, the mouse it's slow to respond as the page is loading--sluggish movement like it doesn't want to go where I'm pointing. Has anyone else experienced this? It seemed like it only used to do it on ebay but now it's happening on web sites when I'm shopping, i.e. RoadRunnerSports.

    I've got an Athlon 900 and 512MB.

    Thanks
    Lou

You might clear your temp internet files and history. These may cause the pages to load more slowly, especially if you're noticing an increase in the symptom.

Additionally, and strangely enough, your display adapter settings may also be to blame.

You'll want to drag the slider on your hardware acceleration down a notch. You may notice an immediate increase in mouse response as a result of this.

Thanks DrkRealm! I set the hardware acceleration down a notch like you suggested and it appears to be working, even ebay is responding better.

    Thanks again
