    Re: cookies

Libbie, all you need is your exact Username and your exact case-sensitive password. Find your way to the Lounge URL by memory or search, then sign on and a cookie will be created for you on the new computer.

    Re: cookies

Let me also suggest that before you log on to the lounge, with the new computer, you use the "LOGOUT" link, if you haven't used it already.

Although it probably won't cause you a problem, setting the cookie straight for login/logout status makes good sense between computers.

I frequently access the Lounge from 3 different computers, and the only time I've had a problem with anything on the lounge, was when I haven't "Logged Out" of one of them, before going to another.

I have been logged in now on 3 or more computers for several years and have not had any problems. One does NOT need to log out.

    Re: cookies

Dave, I agree that one doesn't need to log out to be logging on at alternate computers, but leaving multiple computers logged on or having multiple Lounge sessions open on one or more computers can sure confuse the "Read" counters.

    Re: cookies

I suspect it may only be confused if you have more than one concurrent sessions running.
I am either logged in here at work OR at home, with a minimum non-active time of 15 minutes - I never have problems with the old read counters/indicators/flags whatever.

Yes... the read counters is where I have had the problems.

Besides... I log on and log off of all systems, like a good little boy (unless the power is killed that is).

"log off of all systems" and logging of in a internet site are two different worlds <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>

    Re: cookies

Plus I doubt whether the term 'good little boy' used in the context of a Chris Baldrey post would be permissible under Charlotte's understanding of Lounge usage.

Okay... let me do this again...

I "log off all internet sites" like a good little boy... even in Charlotte's books.... (I hope)....

You should be able to Export the cookies and take them to the new computer.
