Programs requesting Outlook Addresses (Outlook 2002)

The Email Security Update in Outlook 2002 prohibits Outlook from handing out email address unless the user gives explicit permission for every request. The workaround is to set a time limit and hope all processing of the requests occurs within that time frame. Is there any way to DISABLE this security annoyance TOTALLY?!

No.. but there are ways around it. For mail merges, use HTML format. The is a button pusher utility too.

http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/esecup.htm has a list of the options available.

Thank you for your response. My users are not doing a mail merge. It's a different application with the same issue of having to give permission...repeatedly. I went to the site you suggested (we've already installed the Bypass for file extensions from that site). Unfortunately the admin workaround uses Exchange 2000; not the version we are currently using. I guess for the time being we'll have to set time limits. Thanks for your suggestion.
