Question on Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.1Libr (A2k (9.0.3821) SR-1)

Question on Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.1Library?
    A2k (9.0.3821) SR-1

When I create a new db the following is automatically entered as a reference:

Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.1 Library
    ADODB;C:PROGRAM FILESCOMMON FILESSYSTEMADOmsado21.tlb

When would I use the following 2.5 Library?

Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects 2.5 Library
    ADODB;C:PROGRAM FILESCOMMON FILESSYSTEMADOmsado15.dll

I need one or the other.

My system works with either one.

When would I use the following 2.5 Library?

    Thanks. John

Always use the latest version installed on your machine. ADO 2.1 had some problems that were cured in later releases and there are features that were introduced with ADO 2.5 that are missing in 2.1. For what you're doing right now, you may not notice a difference, but if you get into serious ADO code, you will.
