After you unlock left click the uper edge and you can drag to 2 or more rows and then you ca slide the dotted lines to the left ot right to stack the icons

I'm not sure I understand "stacking" as you describe it. Do you mean a double or triple height taskbar, with the menus in top to bottom alignment as the attached screen shot shows?

Re: Task bar and Launch bar stack (XP Pro)

    Hi Dave
I can do that but what I am looking for is one toolbar on top of the other. When you drag the toolbar in win2k it becomes two toolbar across the with of the screen. If I can not do it then I will have to live with it. But if is a nice look and fill for me as I am a programmer and I have a lot of programs in the launch bar so I can get to them fast.
By the way your sig is davea you last name would not be anderson becuse that is my last name and I like to sine DaveA also but I saw that you had it so I went with something else.

    Thanks
    Dave

Re: Task bar and Launch bar stack (XP Pro)

OK. Thought so. I've had problems with getting it organized (and it has nothing to with XP by the way) the way I wanted.

To "stack" them as you want to do, unlock as per Mary's post, and grab the toolbar handle. Drag it into the lower left corner, just by the start button - you may actually have to move your mouse over the start button's area to get it to snap into place.

It can be done, but it is certainly not easy to stack the toolbars, because the hot spot that triggers it is very small and easy to miss. Just don't let up on the left mouse button until you see it pop into the correct location.

Oh, and I don't think our Dave would mind if you signed your posts "Dave A" as long as you don't steal his signature graphic! <img src=/S/laugh.gif border=0 alt=laugh width=15 height=15> Um, right Dave? Dave?
