    Report Print Destination (97 SR-2)

    Hi

I've got a report that, when printed outputs to a networked printer in a different office to me, even though when I look in the file-print menu, this printer is not present as a default and is not even set up on my PC. I therefore have not way of printing to my standard printer. I have looked in the code and can see nothing that appears to force the report to output to the 'other' printer. The only reference I can see to it is if I open the db in Wordpad, I can see the printer name and IP address in amongst all the ASCII characters.

The db is used by the 'other' office in question above, and they may on occasion print the same report - is something retained by the system when they do this?

    All help gratefully received!! <img src=/S/hairout.gif border=0 alt=hairout width=31 height=23>

Open the report in design of preview mode.
    Select File/Page Setup.
    Select the Page tab.
In the frame in the lower half of the dialog box, you'll find radio buttons for Standard Printer (or Default Printer?) and Specific Printer.
See if you can see the "other" printer there, or if you can change the setting (Standard Printer is best).
