    IT is not uncommon to need three states:

    On
    Off
    Not Set, Not present, Undefined, Whatever

    There are a number of enums like this in VB and elsewhere, e.g., look at vbTriState (no, not, NY, NJ and CT), msoTriState, etc.

    Thanks for the laugh! Is there an xlWhoCares? The only time that I have used xlGuess is with the Sort method. The Header parameter of the sort method can be Yes, No, or figure it out yourself, Excel, which is translated xlGuess. HTH --Sam
