News in Print

Has anyone seen in print (internet or otherwise) that Windows NT support is going to be dropped after December 31,2001? We have heard it Upper MGMT wants it in print.

The definition of "Support" means totally different things to different people.
There is to large of a INSTALLED base to NOT support it for a some time. A lot of these are very large companies that have a mixture of OS's. MS is NOT about to cut off it supply of steady income for some time. You will find that MS is pushing these companies to upgrade, but the hardware requirements are still holding some back.

This question was asked at a club meeting the other night, and a person in the know said, if one was to look there is still support for DOS at the MS web site. I have NOT found it yet, but it should be there.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

there is a retired list somewhere at ms, not sure if NT is on it. win95 is, along with Bob and other programs, both older successes and things that went over like a lead balloon.
